Meckley Brooms
Hand-tied broomcorn brooms and besoms from a family workshop in Lopez
About Meckley Brooms
Meckley Brooms is a family broom-making business that carries on a craft the Meckley family has practiced for more than a century. Briana and Brett Meckley, with Brett's father Randy, tie sweeping brooms, whisks, cobweb brooms and besoms from broomcorn on 1800s-era equipment. The business began as a side project around 2017 and opened a storefront and workshop on their Lopez property, near Ricketts Glen State Park, in 2024. Group broom-making classes can be arranged.
