About Jim Loewer Glass
Jim Loewer taught himself glass and works mostly at the torch. He is known for making unusually large pieces with lampworking and for his bold use of color. His studio is in the Sherman Mills complex in Philadelphia's East Falls, where he makes vases, tumblers, wine glasses, suncatchers, ornaments and lamps. He has also made pieces for national retailers and runs hands-on workshops such as pendant-making sessions.
