About HipStrings
Jill Duarte dyes spinning fiber and yarn by hand at HipStrings, which she runs from a studio in Allison Park, north of Pittsburgh. Her combed tops come in merino, Targhee, Wensleydale and silk blends, and she also sells hand-dyed yarn and small tools such as stitch markers, needle gauge tags and weaving cards. She has sold on Etsy since 2009 and has passed 19,000 sales. The studio is open limited weekday hours and by appointment, with an open studio day once a month.
