Pine Springs Pottery
Kick-wheel stoneware dinnerware and bakeware fired in a homemade gas kiln
About Pine Springs Pottery
Marie Lewis throws functional stoneware one piece at a time on a vintage kick wheel in her home studio near New Bethlehem. She mixes her own glazes and stains, hand-paints the designs, and fires the work in a natural gas reduction kiln she built herself. After about 25 years of potting as a hobby, she turned it into a business around 2013 and now makes dinnerware, bakeware and custom logo pieces for local businesses. The studio shop is in her historic home, and visitors are asked to call ahead.
