About Nick Martier
Nick Martier is a self-taught furniture maker who works alone in his studio in historic Bristol borough. He builds rocking chairs, dining and occasional chairs, tables, benches, bookshelves and case pieces, combining traditional joinery with hand-sculpted forms in the manner of Sam Maloof. He takes commissions and also teaches continuing-education woodworking courses.
