In this episode, hear from Janice Bailor of La Rue de Fleurs. Janice creates handmade quilts and soft goods out of her home studio based in Newport, PA.

Janice has been nurturing La Rue de Fleurs since 2012 and has some great tips for those just starting out. We talk about how she got her start as a ‘maker’, how her passion for sewing ‘clicked’, the importance of communication, and the power of consistency.

I am a solo artist interested in developing my business in the local community and building a base of dedicated customers. I enjoy creating my own artistic visions, as well as working with customers to develop their visions, and strive to make each piece tell a meaningful story through the medium of fiber.
